Tegtmeier travel was a 20-part TV series with German Jurgen von Manger, which aired from 1972 to 1980 on ZDF. Initially played by two masters Manger Tegtmeier, namely Adolf Tegtmeier and Dr. Tegtmeier. They are not related, and travel independently, of course, purely coincidental to the same places. The concept of the "man of the people" can occur in parallel to the "highly educated professionals" was very complicated and could not be sustained over the entire series, so that Dr. Tegtmeier no longer shows up at some point. 
Adolf Tegtmeier always speaks very directly what he thinks while Dr. Tegtmeier to ground and often outright formulations is anxious to meet often enough to the heart of the matter. On the obviousness of this fact is due much of the comedy of this character. A particularly interesting and less amusing episode is of course BANGKOK IN ALL DETAILS. Originally aired in July 1975, she has to date still up to date and inside information - all the kind considered strictly satirical and very original German.
